i study body work and engine repair.......thatstwo good jobs to have.what asrt-4 to be is i have a 2.4 stratus the same engine in the 2.4 srt-4 minus the turbo so turbo it and do some internal mods also some upgrades for the srt-4 engine and it should beat an srt-4

 

i personally would like to go bananas on my neon once i get a career out of college with at least these:

- top and bottom end rebuild
- srt-4 turbo setup
- bored TB or billet TB (57mm)
- 3" exhaust with a resonator and SRT-4 rear section
- Konis or KYB all around
- Mopar High Rates
- bigger sways and tower braces
- new paint job (same black with the silver stripes!!)
- 16's wrapped in stickies (14's will become winter tires or i might throw slicks on em for track).

of course it will look the same. as a daily driver while the neon is in the garage, im thinking a 99 Buick Regal GS with the 3800 Series II Supercharged (L67). its a smooth freaking ride with that unsuspecting grandma-esque look. but i would love to roll up next to ricers, rev my engine and act like a complete moron with these words "hey, wanna race my grandma car?" of course they would laugh and race anyway, but i would be the one to hand out the butt-kicking.

either that or an srt-4 haha. id like to stay in the neon realm...there's so much controversy!

yea i cant wait to get out of school either. i got big plans for my car when i get done.

 

damn...all of you people talking about school.....i dropped out of high school in 11th grade.....now i just deliver newspapers and that pays all my bills including my car habits.......
the r/t is my fun/race car.....and it isnt too far from getting done...it nice having a project car and a few daily drivers...then you dont have to always be in a hurry to get everything done

a shop 15 mintues away (mod-a-car, they've been in magazines and stuff) has a test red ACR SRT4 that they test their projects on to see which ones give more gain
it's pretty sweet

 

1st gens can be faster because their lighter.

if you're making 50k+ a year on your own a 15k car really isn't all that bad...
