ok so i am at a loss i have the cash too doa complete turbo build on my neon but i do wantthat mk3supra.how much hp can i get with the works on the neon engine my guess is about 340-350hp but theproblem is ihave the cash for the supra but my friend told me too wait till i get the money for the parts too$5500 to go witch could get me260-300whp and more with boostbut would the neon be worth it to get done first.

 

you can get an SRT4 engine (2k-5k)
put a stage 3 mopar upgrade (about 4k)
and have about 355 hp and 365 tq with 100 octane

and plus it's in a 1st gen neon

i have alwaysplaned on 420+ in the long runyou know all it takes is cash anda huge turbo.the bonneville has the best chance to be my fastest 400+ now i dont have a dyno so i don't know how much more but it has a tri turbo going in it if not four turbos lol and a lowrider on the weekends.no hydros on it just the older school spring cut trick.all i did was turn it into a 455 so i have plenty of mods to go

 

the old "spring-cut trick" isnt exactly safe is it? i mean, unless you are looking for spring rate difference. but im assuming you are looking for a lower ride height, so why not get lowering springs? you could seriously screw yourself up if you cut them wrong.

 

like everyone has said on the forum time and time again...



DO NOT CUT YOUR STOCK SPRINGS

 

i probably wont because its low enoughand i don't thinkthey make lowering springs for a 69 bonneville.i know it's abadidea buti would have them done bya pro.hopefully i will find lowering springs for it by then.or i won't do it at all i don't know yet i haven't looked into it yet the neon has been geting the cash lately so i'll look today and see what i can do about it.

yeah it's mopar or no car but the bonneville was just so pretty it's a convetible too so it looks real sharp.
