The valves that are in the stock Dohc head have not much of a dish in the valve itself. The valves i put in have a deeper dish(totally noticable even blind man could see it). By haveing the deeper dish the compression fills inside the dish taking more of the compression out of the cylinder. So therefore leaving less compression and making it lower.

thanks Spud. ill go and get a factory pcm on monday. Then i should be fine other than a half a tooth advanced on timing. But do you really think that would make a motor predetonate. Hell for all i know it could only be retarded. When i did my timing and followed the Hanes manual, they said three notches BDC and then a half notch well when i set the timing the damn half notch didnt move but a pubic hair from where it started so i really think im retarded a half notch.
ok that is that is vavle timing it only changes the when the valves open/close in relation too the piston
Spark timing is when the the ecu fires the spark in relation too the piston this is what you have too worry about with the mopar ecu.
