RE: Map missing link???
the mopar pcm advances the timing too much for the turbo and you can have a pre-detonation problem...
the turbo works the best with the timing retarded a bit...but will work just fine with the stock timing.....
if you dont wanna have to replace your motor soon, then get rid of the mopar pcm
there really isnt an easier way to hide the boost other then a map clamp and the map clamp isalmost the most important thingwith a turbo 1st gen neon......
dont get one from ebay....they are junk.....it costs a bit more, but you can order one directly from hahnracecraft.com for $100

RE: Map missing link???
thanks Spud. ill go and get a factory pcm on monday. Then i should be fine other than a half a tooth advanced on timing. But do you really think that would make a motor predetonate. Hell for all i know it could only be retarded. When i did my timing and followed the Hanes manual, they said three notches BDC and then a half notch well when i set the timing the damn half notch didnt move but a pubic hair from where it started so i really think im retarded a half notch.

Low compression valves and a dohc on a sohc block. Injectors, fmu, msd 6a,. My buddy brian has seen a a guy run 17 psi with the same setup as me and he is still going today and the motor was built 3 years ago. Im not gonna run 17 psi all the time my max is gonna be 10 psi all the time. And the motor should be fine. Im not worried.
