Ok.. these dont make sense but i have tried twice..

i am getting code 12.. which is no big deal..

32 EGR system failure - I NEED to know what this is..

and i am getting code 55 saying there is no failure..

Could someone please help?

 

EGR is Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve. It does exactly what it says. It is either stuck open or closed or the transducer (electrical part) has goon bad. It needs to be replaced..sold together.

 

Will it fail Canadian emissions testing if i do not replace?

and approx how much would it cost to replace such a part?

 

I live in the US, so I have no idea.

About $80-$90 from the parts store. Easy enough to swap in.
