i have a sohc mtx with way more than you logicly you would lose.teach her how to drive 'stick' lol.it wont own srt's maby some but what about srt8's,srt10's,and some srt-4's.im sure you can beat a manual dohc civic sistop dreaming it has the upper hand like a manual dohc neon and let me guess you can beat a r/t or a acr.i can beat a stock dohc not a r/t.so go do you dumb engine swap and when you have invested more than you think you whould don't complain that it's not as fast as a good srt.sohc arn't slow but there not the best.

 

I allready have it cut apart and I have the steel bought, I was given half the parts from years of collecting, such as a nice posi rear end with3.54 gears my dad gave meand the Hemi i pulled out when i was 12 years old and my 4 speedtranny I traded for at a car show last year, I'm all ready to go I have lots of parts. In my family we think nothing of stripping cars, I have stripped 2 cars in the last week and a half andtook em to the bone yard. The Neon is no different its apart and ready to accept the Hemi, welding rods are the most expensive part of the project

i do but **** you are not going to be a fast as you think and a sohc is not going to beat a dohc with a good driver just admit iti respect that you wantamopar v8 in it but thats about all i can it's still a neon not a hotrodprove me wrong and have the fastest neon then i slauter it with my bonnevilleIcall a truce.....is thats how it's spelledoh fyi the dohc was not a just mopar and dsm it was with lambergini too i don't know how to spell that but you get the point

 

stock for stock the sohc wont beat the dohc unless the dohc is an auto

but a moded sohc with the same 150 hp will beat it only because it will have more tq

but it's still all on the driver

 

agreed i can get stock dohc's easly if i wasn't going to turbo it i would get that mopar ecu and take the dohc alot faster.

i would love to race from stop light to stop light down here....there is 1 in my town and the next one is 3 towns (about 25 miles) away......how would that sohc atx do in a distance race against a dohc??????

I agree with you that the SOHC is underrated and the DOHC is overrated, but there is no way a good running SOHC ATX will beat a good running DOHC MTX.
