Default valve spring retainers

so now im pissed...
i called modern to order my retainers a few minuites ago and now the guy on the phone told me that i couldnotorder only the retainers......the only way i can do that is if they happen to have a few extra's sitting around...
so in order to get them i will have to order another set of valve springs along with them for $259.00
but, they are out of stock and wont have any in for about 2 weeks or so......

the guy at modern said that the retainers are not available without the valve springs, so i wont be able to find them anywhere....
so, does anyone know a different place i can order only titanium retainers???
or does anyone know where i can find a used set for preferable less then $200

Ill try spud, but actually, im going back on my word for being on here but... Anyways, arent they standard valve retainers? Do they have to be specific to the neon as long as they are the right diameter? http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...11301_-1_11071

I dunno, why would they? I would go over to the parts store and see if they can bring out some of each, even if they are not titinamium, then you will know. That would really have to suck to buy new springs because of that[&:]

Although I appreciate the comments, I don't know all. I have done alot of reading and researching on neons. If I ever needed a engine torn apart and put back together quickly, I would call SPUD [sm=happy046.gif]
