Me and my brother took the whole floor and body off of his '69 camero and put a whole frame under it with fabricated 4link and tubbed out suspension on it so we're familiar with taking ****apart and modding stuff to fit : ) My brother went to a steel place and got all the metal for the full frame for $170. I have the Rear End, Engine, Tranny and a gas axe and welder pretty much all set to go : ) The Hemi is allready done and ready to go for about 3 years now, its got a racing Cam with 280 duration and .509 lift, full Headers,Fully Ported Heads and a 750cfm Carter, dyno'ed at413 HP @ 5800RPMat the fly wheel and 439ft of Torque @ 3100 RPMand this is with the stock bottum end with7.5-1 Compression!!! I have a blower set up I bought from a car show that I might put on sooner or later once I buy the manifold.

I guess I've always liked the Neon and I seen a really cool pimped out black 2 door Neon on Ebayand it looked like it could be a good host for a V-8 so i got the idea from that. I'm pretty sure once I smoke an old Muscle Car with my Hemi powered Neon it will get respect

don't let them discourage you Go For It.

Any motor can go into anything its just a mater of how much work you want to put into the project.

i just think that the concept of a hemi in a neon is pretty neat, regardless if a turbo'd neon can beat it. if you think that you can do all that for that much money, and have all that time and knowledge, do it. only if you keep us updated with pics

i think it would be cool to see, but as far as dollar wise, id go turbo. there will be so much fabrication and chopping to put a motor like that it seems hardly worth it other than to do a completelly wild build. i do see how it would earn some respect too. think about it, a big or small block neon. i cant bash the idea of wild swaps either because im building a full tube frame 70' MG with a 250 cubic inch straight six chevy with a big turbo. with 300 horses to start and then a turbo that b**ch will fly

Put it in the back seat trans forward and use a calsale marine V-Drive gear box to send the power back to a 9" ford rearend.
And name it the "Star Gazer" because thats what you will be seeing out the windshield when you jump on it.
