Default Tire sizes that will work

Hey guys, I searched the forums, and the faq's for this answer first and could not find exactly what Im looking for.Yesterday I walked out to my car and notice the stock 165r13 tire in the rear was completely flat.I want to replace with something similar and cheap, allthough when I do search's for 165r13 very few tires come up.Im wondering what other size 13 inch tires can I put on the stock rims.? I found 185/70/13 as a more popular size...I guess I want the cheapest, yet best performing size.. thanks for the info

If you want performance you will probably want to get some wider and perhaps larger rims so you can put on a wider tire. Also tirerack.com has some good deals on all sorts of tires.

Yea, If I wanted performance I would use my 15 inch rims and use a 205/50/15 or something like that.Problem is I live in Michigan where there are virtually no jobs, so I have to find the cheapest possible replacment I can.I just called 3 junk yards for 13 inch tires and they all said they did not have anything.I think they just dont want to go look for a $15 tire.Im gonna have to throw this spare on it, and drive around and see what I can find.

My Neon came with 185s all around, now I have 195s in the front and since my backright tire blew 2 days agoI put on some 205 magsfrom a 1990 Daytona, the wider tires look alot cooler on the Neon, I might put 205's on in the front soI havematchingMagsif it doesnt screw with my speedometer.

Anybody know how much 205's will screw with the speedometer?

Its a shame you are in michigan, at the shop we have a brand new set of 185/70/13's sitting on the shelf that I doubt will ever be used, we could have mounted and balanced them for you for a good price but we are in south florida.

I managed to get a used pair of 185/65/14's on rims for $35. They say ultra hp 4 on them. I think I got a good deal Now I gotta figure out how to get rear brake hub off so I can replace the 2 studs I broke.Im wondering If there is something back there I can turn to loosen the rear brakes to get that off? I briefly looked back there, but did not see anything.I drove about 100 miles yesterday on 2 studs, my friends think the bolts could break now and cause all sorts of havoc.I think the bolts will loosen before they break. The 2 that are there are directly opposite from each other, so Im sure that helps some..lol
