put in more iron work and practic the pit manuver.
in my day the stockers had so much iron work in them you could drive them through a concrete block building and keep going. (we played rough with one another on the track if you were in the way you got moved out of the way most usally not to nicely.)

Ouch!!!
My front bumper was welded to a 6" I beam (we were alowed all the iron we wanted to put in) (most of the cars were Tanks with wheels)
One year I had the car ready about 3 weeks before the start of our season.
So I took it up to Wisconsin to an outlaw paved banked oval just to see what it would be like. (no pre race tech)
Their rules said no iron except driver protection.
The local drivers said letts teach the new guy a lesson and mess up his nice new paint job. (big misteak on their part)
At the end of the feature there was only two cars left running me and one guy that was a 1/2 lap away that I couldn't get to. (it was kind of like playing pool on the track and I was the Q ball.
The next weekend they had to cansel the races because not enought cars were able to show up.
The lesson they learnd was don't **** off a USAC rule dirt car.
