Default Fuel pump intermittent ???

Howdy all, I have a 96 neon, that I am having a fuel pump cycling problem with, I just replaced the pump a couple of weeks ago, after checking the fuses and relays, it appeared to be the pump itself that was bad, I installed a new one, and the problem seemed to be fixed, well, last week, it started to do the same thing, the pumpwould not cycle on, can not hear it whine when you turned the key to the on or starting position, the car will crank fine, but without the pump cycling it wont start of course, I checked the connections at the fuel pump plug itself, and all related fuses and relays, everything seemed ok, is there some type of ground issue with regards to the fuel pump that these cars are proned to, or have one of you folks had this experience in the past? I would greatly appreciate any help you may be able to offer, have a super fine day.

Check O2 sensor heater wires shorting out against exhaust, half shaft, or body.

Hi Das, I appreciate your reply, are you saying that the O2 sensors share a common ground with the fuel pump? thanks very much for your input.
