oil light flicker.

Default oil light flicker.

the oil light has been flickering on and off if i get the RPMs past like 3500. i go to check the oil and its fine but yet the light still flickers on and off like it doesn't know how to make up its mind. what could be causing this?

yea i did. and an update. stopped doing it at higher RPMs but now if the car idles for like 20 seconds it comes on and if i tap the throttle and keep the RPMs at like 1100 the light goes off. but then if i keep it at 1100 without moving it for about 30 seconds then it comes back on and then i have to play with the throttle to keep it off.

Could be your oil pump?

^ i hope not. i dont feel like taking everything apart again. is there anyway of testing it? and my oil pump from my 95 would fit in the 97s wouldn't it? and how much would it cost for someone else to change it at like a Goodyear or something?

try a new press sending unit... alot less work and maybe youll get lucky..
