how do i know if i already have a bigger alt?? cuz the guy who had the car before was into Car system. my lead power wire is the biggest power wire you can buy and im sure it wasnt cheap but idk cuz he installed it

my bad , miss the trunk part, wasn't thinking that cause mine is full of climbing gear, files and test equipment.
So all I need to do is throw a battery in the trunk and have it wired to my converter and the alternator and I'm good. I don't want any more **** in this car as it is. So I could use a big ol' RV battery too. Thanks guys, you've got me going in the right direction. Thanks

when i take it off can i just take it off or do i have to take off other things to get to it like everything else you need to get to on this car

Get a Deep cycle marine battery, you could run your lap top off that for two days and it wouldnt go dead, but you will have to put it in the trunk. Remember you cant have two batterys hooked up together because you will need a cross over from the positive the the negative on the other battery which will make a 24 volt system
And, no matter what battery you get, as long as it is 12 volt, it will not fry anything because a battery only puts out what is used, you could have a battery with a million cranking amps but still only draw a hundred when you start it.
