what's the biggest battery I can put in my neon? Is there a danger of frying the computer or anything else? I use it as a mobile field office. Thanks for any help

 

Thats an interestting question...most people want a smaller battery. I'd get an Optima Yellow Top battery for your neon. It is designed for high output stereo systems.

 

yep got two in my trunk and wouldn't go with anything else

 

the yellow top is not designed to power a car...only the stereo, hydraulics, or whatever.....it can cause you problems if usedto power the vehicle..atleast mine did...
the red top is designed to power the car and its additional accessories

 

i have had my two yellow tops in my car for 5½ years and no problems. My stero system has only been put in for about three months

 

allright thats a good start. I run a laptop through a converter and a small cooler and cell phone charger, oh yeah just stock tunes most of the day. But if I run that for about 5 hours the battery is dead.
How did you fit two batteries under the hood, that dosen't look easy to me!!

i gots a question for aerorat how do you keep batteries in your trunk charged??

cuz i would think with no alternater they would drain quickly?? and what size system you got cuz im looking to get my system off of the cars battery an on its own battery(s)

 

I have 2ga power wirerunning though the body.up to the front connected to power distribution block under the hood. Thatall hook to the alternater and supplies power to the rest of the car. This isnot an uncommon thing as a lot of v8 hot rodders do thing to transfer wait to the rear wheels

 

I am running two memphis belle 1300's, eclipse head unit, two 8 disk changers, sony xec1000 crossover, 4 solobaric L7 10" subs, four infinity 6½" and four 1" infinity tweeters and a 1½ frad cap.

you can put has many batteries in your that you want. The only thing more batteries are going to do is allow haw long you can play the system with out the motor running. The key to have good system backbone if you are running more than 400 watts up grade your alternater. Mine is 180 amp
