how do you run your alt to power batterys in trunk?do youjust extend wires as if you wereputting your car battery in the trunk ? so is your alt powering 3 batteries or is one of the two powering your car also?

But now back to the batteries I am using 2ga audio power cable with fine thread copper strans. The finer the better. I have it running throught the body. not under it.then under the hood I have a distribution block.Then it goes to the start, alternator, and powers the rest of the car

Get a Deep cycle marine battery, you could run your lap top off that for two days and it wouldnt go dead, but you will have to put it in the trunk. Remember you cant have two batterys hooked up together because you will need a cross over from the positive the the negative on the other battery which will make a 24 volt system
And, no matter what battery you get, as long as it is 12 volt, it will not fry anything because a battery only puts out what is used, you could have a battery with a million cranking amps but still only draw a hundred when you start it.

1 decentbattery should be enough....lol Maybe just upgrade the inverter.
I ran my laptop for 6 hours last night off my inverter in my Neon withoutEngine running,its a 350watt Ralley Inverterand it can handle charging a cell phone and powering 2 computers. Mine and my brothers laptop eats about 90watts each and it will run both fine. Allthough I dohave a stockstereo system upgraded with Wal Mart Durabrand tweeters....lol (wow I said upgraded and Wal Mart in the same sentance!) Pretty much no powerdemand from the stereo..ahahaha.
My $10 Junk yardIntersate battery lasts long enough for when a person needs to pull over and get free internet.
