Yes it will i put a 98 neon trans in my 95 work car. Only thing i had to change was the vss sensor becausemine has the round style connector not the flat yours will need the flat if your car is newer then 95.

 

any 95-99 tranny will work
if you can, try to find a tranny from an r/t or an acr

 

Or a 95 sport coupe.

he was thinking about swapping trannys since the speedo gear is messed up

 

But didnt we tell him that the speedo gear is on the cv joint [&:]

 

I am not mechanicly inclined when it comes to trans rebuild or anything like that but how can the speedo gear be on the cv joint. Is that not like the joints on the axles in which is on the out side of the tranny. Would the gear not be somewhere at the diff inside the tranny.

 

find any trans from a DOHC car
boxer is your 5 spd a 3.55 from a SOHC, if it is would you sell it cheap? i want the ring / pinion out of it.
