Default Tach not working

Hi could anyone give me a good reason why my tach does not move at all, i just replaced the engine in my car and the tach did nothing when i started it up, everything is hooked up, i didn't see and wires broken and all the fuses are good, all gauges work but the tach....any ideas???

Have you ever had any issues with your cluster?

Are you using the sensors off your old engine or the new engine?

Tach wire is gray with a blue tracer and run from the PCM. Take a look at it.

i'm using the one that came with the "newer" engine, i don't know if the tach was working before, i got the car from an co-worker for free, is it hard to change it if it is the sensor

i'm going to try that tomorrow, if the sensor is good, and i'm getting power all the way up to the gauge, i'm just going to put in an after market tach somewhere
