Is the GVWR how much the vehicle can hold or how much it weighs?

 

that is sumthing that confuses me

 

I weighed my caron the junk yard scaleand with me and my tool box in the car it weighed 2910 lbs I go about 220lbs and tool box about 50lbs.

 

GVWR is its total weight with max capacity, take the GVWR and subtract the total luggage / passeneger capacity ( like 3600GVWRmiunus 800 Lbs of fat people and cookies in the tunk) theres your weight of your car as it was stock
2500 sounds close
stripped with a cage is about 1900-2200
the GVRW on my truck is 9000 Lbs but i know damn sure it dont weigh that much.

 

My Car with Me, 1/4 Tank to 1/3 Tank of Gas, Roll Cage, and safety gear - weighes in at just over 2600
My Windows in both the passenger and driver doorhave beenremoved
