Default would this be bad

when i was changing my thermostat yesterday, i snapped the one bolt off that bolts the housing to the intake manifold.
so if i were to drill out the bolt and the manifold to about the same size as the housing or a little bit bigger and just put a bolt with a nut on the backside to hold the housing on would that be a bad idea, i really dont wanna take the intake off to get the bolt out.
I've alredy tried to tap it too, but it didnt work.
any help at all please

I would say bad - rather do it right, then end up doing more damage

Go to a Junk Yard and get another manifold!

i actually did the same thing a few years ago.....instead of drilling the bolt out i just put a big band clamp around the corner of the housing and under the part of the intake that the housing bolts too....sounds really ghetto, but worked for about 30,000 miles when i got a new intake
if you end up wanting another intake, i have one i can sell you sumtime
