Default Internal wiring harness?

Im sure that all of you know that there is an internal and external wiring harness in the neon. The little one for the engine and the second one that plugs into the pcm and goes into the car.

How hard is it to remove the internal wiring harness. And bring the other half through the fire wall. Is there a junktion plug right after it enters the fire wall under the dash.

Well ill tell you what im tring to do. I got this 98 neon. The engine was apparently water logged and i threw that out. When i put the new engine in everything worked the fuelpump, dash lights ect. The engine turned over, but i had no spark. So i got the CEL code for the asd relay, and maximum dwell time crap. I replaced the asd relay. checked the timing and such. No spark, changed coil packs, no spark. The only thing i didnt do was replace the computer and wiring harness. I also cut the External relay box off and spliced in a new one. NO SPARK. So i figured i would get a engine wiring harness and pcm, and the External relay box wiring harness. But thats the one that goes throught the dash. Since the engine bay was water logged i figured i would replace everything. WHAT THE HECK SHOULDI DO?
Thanks in advance Rob

Oh i also changed cam sensors and we spliced the wired from the coil pack signal wire directly to the pcm. I was supposedly getting spark to the coil pack but not after. Because if you put a test light on it and crank the motor over it flashes the test light light. Well i screwed up the engine wiring harness by cutting and hacking so ima replace that and the pcm any way. But if i solder the wires on the External relay box really good do you think i should replace the internal wiring harness.

Sounds like my problem man, I cant get any spark and Ive replaced the pcm, cam sensor, wiring harness, coilpack etc. and still no spark. I even tried what you said, I wired the pcm directly to the coilpack and still nothing, and I am not getting any codes. Did you actually cut into the cabin harness? If not, I wouldnt mess with it.

I've changed this out before. Not a lot of fun. At all.
