Ok... I have a 96 Neon SOHC automatic. I got it Dec 06 and it was having problem with the speedometer not working. They shop i bought it from tightened connections for it and it was working fine again. Recently, it is not working more then it is working. I took it back to that shop and they did something (well supposedly did something) and it still wasnt working any better. This past weekend i drove about 195 miles and the speedo only worked for 16 miles.

Any one got any ideas on what could be causing it? THe shop guessed it was a short and said that theyd have to rip apart the dash and try to find the short and they dont know how long it would take. Would it be easier to instal a new gague cluster or try to find a short? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks
