how big is the oem piping on a 99 dodge neon sohc, im getting a new muffler and wanted to make sure b 4 i order it.

can i get a 2.5 muffler and just have the shop hook it up with the fitting.

since they do make 2.25"-2.5" adapters and so on then i would say yes.

anyone ever used a dynomax super turbo muffler, i found one for 45 at the parts store, and wanted to know if anyone else ever used one.

never used one on a neon.but see if you can find a muffler that has a 2.25 I.D. inlet and it will fit without any adapters

i have 2.5 on my neon and no probs. plus a lil xtra hp too. try it youll feel it yourself

Unless you had the restrictive SOHC muffler on your car, the only thing you gained was noise.

i had 2.5" exhaust pipe on my old blue r/t and didnt notice or feel any power gains

i add a brola muffler some headers and the 2.5 pipz thats how i got my +hp o new that if just added the pipz there would be no change
