ok soo my 96 neon hhad to have the alternator changed so my friend did it but when i put the battery in it ran then after a while driving the battery died so i called him and he said he forgot to put a belt on the alternator, how many belts are on it and also how hartd are they to get to to put one on

 

just one belt. and not that hard, just have to jack it up. and theres i think 2 bolts that u need to loosen. one u loosen and the other is the adjuster bolt. the adjuster bolt is on the back. and the one u have to loosen is on the side (by the fender)
