http://www.msu.edu/%7Elareseer/trannySwap.html so i was looking at this link. can you make an auto tranny a manual tranny? so instead of buying an all new tranny? i was kinda unclear on what he did. it sounded like he replaced the tranny just to have a new tranny. am i wrong? can anyone explain that?

ok then my next question is. can you turn an auto tranny to a manual one? or is it just easier to buy a mtx ready to go?

 

as far as i know it isnt possible to change them over....the tranny cases and gears are completely different......not to mention the auto only has 3 gears and the manual has 5....just buy a manual tranny
