no its metal. and it was just 2 1/2" and about a foot and a half long

 

i had a bitch of a time putting my 3.0 in. my battery try was being a b**** and does anyone know what that sensor is for on the battery tray? but i have 2 fans and they were being a pain in the ***. just a big mess finally got it all situated though

 

thats weird idk y u were havein problems cuz i got 2 fans too and i just cut the battery tray back. and that sensor is a battery temp sensor.

 

do you need it? will it make the check engine light come on? also what if you move the battery to the back do you have to keep it?

 

idk you would have to ask someone that has moved it back there.
