Default Code 65?

I'm kinda new to car repair in general, and my check engine light came on recently, so I pulled the codes and it gave me 12 and 62. I've read on here that 12 isn't a big deal, but I haven't been able to find out how to repair 62, which is "PCM failure SRI mile not stored", which I have no idea what it means lol. Any help would be appreciated.

Unsuccessful attempt to update Service Reminder Indicator miles in the PCM EEPROM.

You might have to replace the PCM.

New from the dealer....about $400.

Used from someone on here...about $30-$50 maybe.

well, lol, i feel like an idiot atm. i just replaced my O2 Sensors, which i have had to do for a week or so now, and i decided to check the codes again. turns out it wasnt a 62, it was a 65, which is "Power Steering Switch Failure" O_o; i'm still at a loss as to what i have to do for this one, though lol. thanks for the info about the PCM, though, i appreciate the responses and help.

Edit your original post and you can edit the title.

Replace the power steering switch.
