Ok i installed a new aftermarket tach, it works but where can i install the light to. it came with 4 wires black(ground), white(light), red(hot), green(tach wire) where can i attach the white one?

how did you install it beause i tried puting mine in awhile ago and i cut te blue and grey wire and hooked it up to the green wire but it didnt work...my lights and all the stuff worked but the tach part didnt
