well see now i would put a turbo on it, but my engine has 150,000 miles on it, and with that many miles on it, i wouldnt want to put a turbo on it,
150,000miles?Your Engine is just getting broke in enjoy it andQuit being a ***** and turbo it. Worst that could happen is you blow a head gasket and you might blow one anyway without a Turbo so TURBO IT. The head gasket and turbo is less money than a new engine anyways and besides you wont need to change the head gasket unless it blows. Keep your Turbo boost under 10 psi in the Neon Engine and you should have no problems.

Miles don't really mean **** if you keep your Engine healthy, ad oil and keep up on anti freeze and you shouldn't have any problems. I'm Turbo'ing mine at almost 130,000 miles.

ur headgasket isnt gonna go if u have a multilayeredsteel one
put yea keep ur boost at like 7 or 8
the first gens are a **** load lighter than the srt4s so u should beable to blow by a stock one
i would just crack ur engine open and rebuild it
thens its like new

People Told me that the 98 wasnt the year for the MLS head gasket and I almost believed them till my engine had overheated a few times because of a bad water pump bearing witht hat said and the way I constantly beat that engine I would have thought it was the MLS gasket, because that motor never gives up its been great to me.

Turns out you can tell by lookingin the front of the engine, The mls gasket has a rivet that sticks out in front of the engine below the intake manifoldwhich varifys you have the MLS gasket...long story short IHave the MLS Gasket which is why I havnt blown a head gasket yet!

But you said you were looking for an engine block to rebuild. So get a neon block and build it for the turbo and you are good to go.

the first gen talon / eclipse motors were completely different, not even close.
where are you from i have a couple motors sittin around that are rebuildable, one that probly would run fine. do you need a bare block, or all the rotating assemlby with it? i have two of evrything for neons and need to get rid of this ****
