It really pretty simple look at the back of you amp where your fueses are and add up the amps that the fueses handle. this is absolute peak. It can not and will not go above this and the acually amps that it is drawing is all in perportionate to how loud you are playing your music. Cheap amp dont worry about it. it its 2006 rated at 1000 watts I would get the new alt.
