i knew a guy who got off by changing is color right after the cop flashed him....he changed it to green and told the cop that he just miss saw the color....the cops camera did not catch a good veiw of the blue....his cam was black and white....so he got off the ticket....but nowhe dose get pulled over more

 

in penn. u can only use them while compleylt stopped or offroad(parking lot, driveway)
i have them inside my car and ive been pulled over for them while driving in the highway, even after i turned them off.

 

yeah , do a search on yahoo for your states laws on it. you may even wanna ask a cop friend, if ya have one, sometimes counties may outlaw them but not the whole state. sometimes you can turn them on as long as the car is not moving (at a stop light, parking lot, in front of your house) sometimes you can use em anytime but no red or blue because the law is saying you are impersonating an emergency vehicle. just do some research before you blow your money.
