i recently had a post on here about putting a DOHC ecu on a SOHC motor.....would i get more horsepower goin that route or just buying a flashed ecu from mopar performance for a SOHC..

 

just get the moparsohc pcm it will out perform a stock dohc pcm

 

what about this pcm ..is it better then the mopar pcm

it seems like its better i just scimmed through the description and it says 9-24 on flywhell not sure what that means but look how much more exspensive it is 525.00 compaird to mopars 215.00 or so.. but i dont know about the diffence in hp gains

 

im looking for the best pcm for my car...if its gonna be better performance wise ...ill pay the extra 250 bucks..wat i like about it the most is the fact that it adapts for mods that i want to put on in the future ...im not stuck with wat i got

 

AFX is the way to go for racing, be carefull of the rev limit, stock motor wont take it for long

 

should i go with the street/strip series or the racing one ...the only mods i dont have that the racing one recommends are a bigger throttlebody and aftermarket intake

 

go with the af/x race pcm.......i have it and it makes a world of difference

 

youll b fine with race, the way we all "cheat" anyway it runs fine, but like i said be carefull revving it to 7800, youll make it about 5 laps and itll let go, lol.

 

im racing on a lil 1/3 mile most of the time so we dont need to wry about cracking 7800 rpms...that is unless all the mods im puttin on this winter make a huge difference
