for the af/x do you still need to use the differant gas??

 

Requires the higher 93 octane I believe.

 

we run sunoco 115 in the neon .....its some potent **** ...i noticed a huge difference in power just by using it ....but at 6.75 a gallon its probably not wise to run it on the road

 

i found that i made more power on 93 or 92 pump gas, with a 160 stat. 115 it just dont have the compression to burn it right. keeps your timing from retarding but it also creates more heat. cooler engine temp with a 50/50 mix even made really good power. i ran a big 3/8 mile track and ran 3rd gear to 7700, once in a great while id hit the rev limit. ****in fast, i loved it.

 

Octane rating is a measure of anti-detonation of a gasoline. This is needed because of more aggresive spark advace that come with aftermarket PCMs

i cant inagine running in third gear on a 3/8 mile ...it unheard of around my parts ... im goin to run the hershey show this year on a 1/2 mile its 2000 to win and im lookin forward to it. its also ran like a nascar event ...its a 2 day event and you have to qualify....its goin to be a blast ..u should look it up and then we could meet in person
