das, how would makin it longer gimme more power? i wanted to keep the filter outta harms way and i thought the shorter path to the intake would be less time for the air to warm up?

thanks all for the compliments. again the battery "cooler" was just an idea to mount the battery while keeping stuff from hitting it in corners and protect the terminals. i may paint it or just buy a new one since this one was for the test fit. any other ideas will be appreciated.

and i will paint the 3.0 i was just finished with the test fits and test run so i took the pics.

and estneon ( the reason i mentioned "smart *** comments") the 3.0 is by far the best intake you can put on a 1st gen.( i know iceman, but they are outta business so suck it) and anyone with a 3.0 will agree. the ice chest however is ALOT better then the original idea of cuttin the **** outta the stock tray and boltin that down to the trunk. battery all exposed and jagged black plastic stickin out the bottom. hell lets see some of your ghetto customizing!

Lol, yeah, I have to agree that you need some exhaust pipe to extend the filter down more, but the cooler isnt a bad idea. If you want to clean it up more you can buy a marine grade battery box, I dont know how good these are, I always used some from a large marine distributor, but also paid 4 times as much[&:]

dude, imo, "thats" just ugly. in my trunk? are you serious. at least an ice chest looks like it goes back there. those would work if i could put it behind my speaker box tho. outta site. good link tho.

Dude, no offence, I actually kinda like what you did, but, how in the hell can a black poly battery box be uglier than a dirty cooler?! [&:]

You can look around and you might find some better looking ones...
