so i finally got my battery moved to the trunk so i could really take advantage of the 3.0 CAI. got some pics of both. hoping maybe someone sees something i don't and can help make this set of upgrades even sweeter. keep your smartass remarks to yourself. all i am looking for is any input you may have from doing these mods yourself.





intake finally in place.



clearance ok? i think so.



kept the drain tube.



tried using the battery tray, but didnt like the look. or the thought of **** slammin into my battery.



and i can still get my 12's out without unbolting the battery from the trunk.



easy open lid.



had to grind it out a bit to fit. don't worry there are vents in the lid for the gasses from the battery.
and i know someone is gonna talk ****, so lets go on and get it over with. for the rest of you, any ideas on improvements? or any possibilty i just totally ****ed my car up? everything works fine. gets up alot faster with the intake too.

you could have cleaned the intake before you put it on....no offence but the 3.0 it's self was a little getto with that little ice cheast thing it's like its worse then getto good job though.

 

oh and is your battery box a cooler??? lol

 

I think it looks pretty good. I would have tried to hide the power wires and brought it up through the bottom of the cooler to make it look as if it was just a cooler of drinks or so. But anyways it looks good

 

Get the filter a little lowe by adding some exhaust pipe and you should feel a little more power.

Lol, yeah, I have to agree that you need some exhaust pipe to extend the filter down more, but the cooler isnt a bad idea. If you want to clean it up more you can buy a marine grade battery box, I dont know how good these are, I always used some from a large marine distributor, but also paid 4 times as much[&:]
