alright. on my dads '95 with 213k on it. the transmission doesn't like to shift into 3rd. it shifts fine if i shift it manually (aka start in 1st, then 2nd, and then D). but on its own it doesn't like to. now then. the transmission has NEVER been surviced at all so the problem could be many different things with its age. but what would your best bet be? oh and the tranny slips sometimes when going from 1st-2nd gear.

 

Ah sounds like whats happening with my tranny now, only mine slips in drive and works great from 1st-2nd-D and the kick down slips hard core when engaged and sometimes park doesnt want to go in.

 

i was having the same problem so i replaced the tranny with a used one and started to have the same problems so i finaly just swaped it to a 5 spd and i havent had a problem but that was just what i did but i think you can replace the i think its called the shift mod but i am not sure thats waht its called its the part in the tranny when you remove the tranny pan that thing in there can be replaced but i am not sure how much it will castbut good luck
