Anything name brand sould work fine. Stay away from rampage, audiovox, and anything that lookes too good to be true..... most of the time it is.

The only thing that you may have to worry about is if the magnet will fit in the hole.

ok thanks. since were on the subject why is it that the doorspeakers sound bad at high volume. 1st off there not blown. and all my speakers and head unit are all aftermarket(except tweeters in dash)and good brands but they still sound gargley at high volume. the bass is all the way up and when i turn it down it sounds good again. dont know y.i never really have them turned up cuz my subs are always on so it really doesnt bother me. i was just wondering.

Destortion
You need bass blocker on the door speakers or passive crossovers on them and your tweeters.

you could also use some 2 way passive crossovers andrun the high the the dash and the mid to your door.

ok....well this is what i did...i spent a lil more money but i had my doors dynomated.....it made a hell of a diff...i got all around alpine type R's....now ive actually had a tech at best buy ask me if i had subs before he checked...i dont....my speakers just hit that hard...now i havnt found anyother brands that compare...but im glad i got alpines....no one else has em...and no one else sounds better....makes me happy...u dont have to push a lot of watts to sound good...skip the tweaters and just get speakers....unless u got the money...

i had those same alpines in my dads truck and it did the same thing at high volume. if i turn the bass and treble down then it sounds good. but it is the stock radio if that matters. but in my car i have a really good jvc radio. so idk.

My dad's 98 ram has the infinity system with a pioneer deck, and man that thing sounds awesome Usually it hears "Smoke on the Water" turned up to full volume at least once a day with no distortion at all!
