Default 98 sohc starting problem

I just bought a 1998 and its only got 2,600 miles honest. But it has a starting problem whenever you leave it sit for either ten minutes or over night it takes a bit of cranking before it turns over.Runs great once started.I was informed it might be the fuel pressure regulator that it may be leaking off pressure but im not for sure.If anyone has any suggestions that would be great. Thanks Scott.

Did you have the battery checked or check the fuel pressure at the rail?

Thanks, after i realized that it sat forpracticallymost of its life i decided to be safe and change the whole fuel pump unit inside the tank. So i did and im glad i did the new unit fixed the starting problem and made it run a lot better, and i took apart the old one and im surprised it pumped any fuel at all it was totally eroded away. Thanks Scott
