i installed my downpipe yesterday and now it sounds like a ricer. not only that but there is a sound i can only discribe as crackling when i go over 3,000rpm. any info has to why would be helpful. i wanna keep my downpipe but if need be i can lose the muffler and get one for a DOHC

 

sounds like u need a resignator, that will try to keep that honda exhaust down a bit.

 

the down pipe has a fesonator on it

 

would that crackling sound be considered a back fire? or just the sound the exhaust is making

 

i thought down pipesare for turbos....what partare you talking about? (i think i know)

what companymade it?.....how much was it?.......it could explain why it sucks

 

good point......cheap.....ebay. think i might go with the dohc muffler to make it quiet or get a resonator from modern we see which comes first i guess

 

i know this is not dodge related kinda, but i had a subaru resignator on my toyota and the exhaust sounds nices, even with the high cat, and a big exhaust tip.

 

I have a brand new DOHC stock muffler in my garage. 5K miles on it. Pm me if u wanna buy it

 

i've determined that my exhaust won't sound that bad if i fix the backfire. any suggestions as to what ca cause that. i also made a EGR block off plate at the same time,could blocking that off cause backfire in some cases???
