Default my poor car
i was driving my car, i went to go take off from a stop sign and then i hear this grinding noise comming from my tranny and i can feel it through the gear shifter. does anybody have any idea of wat it could be?

manuel or automatic? if its manual you probably justlet up off the clutch too soon and cause the gears to grind. done that a couple of times on my first manual tranny.

oh its a manual but it does it all the time not just sometimes it is a constant thing

yea man

my friends hatch was having that problem and he had to change the sincros (sp?)

is the grinding noise as you shift or as you accelerate.

ok its not really a grinding noise it is like something is spinning and wont stop it happenes when i accelereate, brake, and shift in to 1st and 2nd thats it

yes and no it whinnes but also... i cant really explain wat it soulds like it like the gears are tuning but are not conntacted so it sounds like the gears are slipping my parents said my clutch is slipping
