Default hi, 1st gen guys... anyone have a stock CD player...

...laying around? looking for a stock CD player for my wifes 96 Caravan... it has the old cassette and pretty much the cassette part is shot. Have been looking for a long time on e-bay for the "square" style, mid 90's Chrysler CD player, and have found many, but they always end up going for like 60 to 80 bucks!... and that's not for the the combo tape and CD ones, it's just for the CD only. maybe looking to pay like 40 or 45 bucks for one....
...or am I just better off going to the local car stereo place and getting a cheapy put in....seems like it would be around the same price....
why do these things go for so much?... and why, over time, do people keep buying them? seems to me like everyone out there that needs one would have one by now...is it just supply and demand?

400 on a head for a neon is way to expensive since it can get stolen in like 2 minutes
