Default This is going to sound funny..... But I need help anyway!

Ok, As some of you know I replaced my transmission 3 weeks ago and it works great, well one day I hear this rolling around sound coming from like my frame area and under the floor in front of my seat area when I come to stop signs and stop lights, ANYWAYS I remembered what it could be..... 3 weeks ago while taking the tranny out,When I was taking the drivers side transmission mount off I had lost my balence and fell on my *** and my socket hit the inner frame rail and fell off my extensioninto the frame and I can't figure out how I'm going to get it out and I could not believe Chrysler had not thought of the possibility of somebody losing a socket down there and I feel about 2 inches tall right now.

My Dads jack **** the bed and my sister's Husband is using his car ramps! soI have no way to lift the car to see if theres a way to get the socket out just yet so in the mean time I need to ask.....

Ifanybody knows of a place one might be able to getthe socketout of the frame? Also has this happened to anybody before?

Same thing happened to me I went down to Checkers (or what ever parts store that you have) and got atelascooping floor magnet that has the nickle size magnet on the end and reached it down the frame and got it stuck on the frame about a million damn times then finally got it out. Thats how i did it. but some sockets are not magnetic go figure.

I might try that if I can figure out where the socket is at in the frame, Its been rolling around for 3 weeks soI have no clue where it is. I'm ready to drill a hole in the frame so it falls out then patch it up with the welder..

I'm in Central Wisconsin and in my City we have a couple of each store.....Checkers, AutoZone, Car Quest,Advanced Auto Parts and 2 local chain stores that I don't even know the name of oh and the Wal Mart Super Center has a nice Automtoive section.

Its extra embarrassing for me cuz I got sick of using my incomplete set of tools,so I asked my brother to use his and it was his socket that I lost in my frame....lol

if you live in a rural area go to a vet or a place that sells feed for animals and get a cow stomache magnet they are really strong.I got a socket out of my friends neon in the same situation. We couldn't figure out where the socket was but it would roll so we mounted the magnet and then drove the car it went over it stuck and we got it out after by dragging it back to a spot where we could get it out with another magnet. So maybe even get 2 if possible and drill a hole in one with a string to finish the job this again as mentioned by someone else is only good if the socket is magnetic an u can get access to these magnets but they will smoke a tool magnet forsure. good luck

well, I guess it isn't to stupid if this has happen to so many, but anyways I used an 80ozmagnet off of a old lanzar 18" sudwoofer chased the socket to the hole it fell in to and luckly it came out just like it fell in
