No offense EstNeon but if I had $6,000 I wouldn't be building up a Neon Engine or dumping that much money into a Neon, I'd be building my second Hemi and get that sent to shop for balencing and head milling then have 2gs to boot after rebuild and have a 700hp engine. The Hahn Turbo kits are such a waste of Money and its practically highway robbery, You can go to any Junk Yard and get a Turbo that will make just as much power as the Hahn kits do and the Mitsu Turbo I got from the guy down the road for $30 working with nothing wrong with it I'm reallly excited about, it will put out 20psi if I want but I wont need that much.

The Ebay kits are good if not equal to the Hahn kit beleive it or not.... They are using Garrett and Mitsu Turbos hardly cheap run of the mill parts that we normally associate with ebay cheap stuff. What I'm getting at is I do not see why putting a Turbo on a budget 4 banger car like the Neon should cost $2500 for just stage 1, I have all my Turbo parts for pretty much under $100 actually I have about $55 into my turbo set-up thus far and this price includes my new Mitsubishi Turbo $30, Oil lines $10, boost controller $15 and I allready have welding rods to mod my stock exhaustmanifold for turbo use and if I need to buy a missing link later I'll still be under $100 and even if Ibought a $150 manifold off ebay i'd still be sittin good for cash spent on comparable power. I have a idea about foolingthe map sensor....

I'll take my $100 Turbo anyday over the $2500 Hahn overpriced BS. The Hahn is a good kit but is worth 1/5th of what they list it for.

 

damn spudwhat don't you get about i haveused all my own money on my neon...and i always try not to take my moms cash it's just nice too know it's therei earn my cash i just picked the right jobs to earn the bigger cash but i will be broke soon i have done all the cars in the neighberhood that like streettunning...so im getting a real job in december or the start of next year.

i absolutely hate working on neons any more......i know its getting bad when i have a bucket of bolts in my garage, i went through it the other day and was telling my wife where every bolt went to.....
i could take one of these damn cars apart in my sleep.....its getting real annoying...
i do want an impalla, but i also want a big truck....

within the next few days im going to pick up a 91 dakota.....needs a motor, no rust or dents, but has a 3 inch body lift, 2 sets of nice fog lights, american racing black slotted rims, and 31" thornbirds.......$200
im gonna put the rims and tires on my durango then maybe sell the rest of the truck and use the money to buy a body lift for the durango...just for sumthing different
