i don't think the 2.4 is the best example of a super engine they make engines way above 7.0
Merlins (Chevy BB-based) can go 632 inch (10.4L) and there's now an 830 inch (13.6L) Ford-based V-8. Mopar's biggest is the 528 Hemi (8.7L).
They have a600+CI Hemi... It was on HorsePower Tv a few years ago, made 1100 Horse Power out of the gate. The Hemi doesn't need more than 528ci to own the Ford and Chevy engines. From personal up close expirence with a 426 Hemi head and seeing it off the car, the intakeports are almost 3x bigger than a Big Block Chevys, plus the Valves are 2.19 Intake and 2.00 Exhaust, the ports were almost the size of a beer can, No question about it...They Breath!. Evenmy Early hemi heads have bigger ports than a BB Chevy.

I've seen 600hp 2.0SOHC Engines so I dont think the 2.4 is the end all be all, but it just takes less effort to get to 600hp with a 2.4. The way I look at it is if I need more than 300hp out of my Neon Then the 331Hemi is going into it.

oki read some and people want to know why you just dont put a turbo on my 2.0 because i have 160k on the motor and the srt 4 only has 38k and i have to tools and everything that i need to do the swap
???where do i have to cut the frame for the srt 4 tranny anyone have pics well and another thing that i did not understand is if i have the pcm from the srt 4 can i use it???
You do not have to cut the fram and you do have to use the srt 4 pcm with the matching S.K.I.M
SENTRY KEY IMMOBILIZER
MODULE and the key and turning barrel. All three the pcm, key, S.K.I.M. need to be from the same vin number
