well i road in a srt 4 with a stage 3 turbo and does not even compare to anything that i could ever have with my motor and money situation i have been looking around and have found a great deal a srt4 motor with 38k and trany axels and any ohter thing that i need for $2500 so is that worth the money to do the swap?? i think that i have some help to do the swap i was wondering how long would it take to do it but anyway give me some feedback on the deal [sm=yikesomg.gif]

 

Yea i think its worth the money..thats what the auto wreckers up here were going to sell me one for..and that was just the engine!

oki read some and people want to know why you just dont put a turbo on my 2.0 because i have 160k on the motor and the srt 4 only has 38k and i have to tools and everything that i need to do the swap
???where do i have to cut the frame for the srt 4 tranny anyone have pics well and another thing that i did not understand is if i have the pcm from the srt 4 can i use it???

 

the 2.0 can get up to 400-430....and i don't think the 2.4 is the best example of a super engine they make engines way above 7.0

however the 2.4 is the best 4 banger imo you 'can' get up to 600hp with alot of work but who wants that much in a neon[&:]

 

Find neonRT98 and Aerorat...they have both swapped in the SRT4 engine and the tranny along with it.

 

SO WORTH IT. best i have seen in my neck of the woods was $3500 for the same thing

 

Merlins (Chevy BB-based) can go 632 inch (10.4L) and there's now an 830 inch (13.6L) Ford-based V-8. Mopar's biggest is the 528 Hemi (8.7L).

But 2.4 is on the larger side of modern 4 cylinder gas engines.

 

For 2500 I would definately go for it! I think Im just gonna buy an srt4 though, intead of a swap cuz my neon is turning into a pile of rust...

 

As for your question to the pcm jelly.
No if you have the pcm you can not use it you would need to buy a brand new never been used or seen a flash. Most people just are forced to go and shell out the money to get the stock pcm. Or get megasquirt.
