Any comments on the cowl intake idea?? That seems like the easiest to me because I can keep all the factory stuff but the big air box crap and still get the benefit of outside/cold air. I also had a brilliant idea as I was Christmas shopping. To test the air temperatures of different intake setups you could use one of those atomic clock/temperature things that have a remote temperature sensor. It runs completely on batteries so there wouldnt be any wires or anything to run, just ziptie the sensor near your filter and see what kind of temps you got.
