On a serious note, i've scene a 2000 integra blow 2 timing belts and still has the original valves. It too has the interference design.

You really have to pull the head to find out if there broken. Its a pretty simple job, I'd say tear it apart first.

you cando a compression testto findout if they are bent without removing the head. while your doing the test put your ear on the intake TB and see it you hear the air moving past the intakevalves.

 

A leak down test is more effective, but if you are going to tear it down anyways, its not worth the time...
