Ive searched the forum and didnt find much aboutwhich type of mtx is best for themtx swap. I did find that someone said that a PT cruiser mtx2000, cable actuated, 3.55 w/ .81 5th is better for a turbo car but would it be any better for a non turbo car? Or should i stick with a stock neon mtx if so is there a difference between the ACR, R/T, Highline, and a basic manual neon. I prolly dont plan on going turbo just motor but any suggestions on what might be best to use.

 

Non-ACR SOHC came with the 3.55 tranny with the 0.72 5th gear. (part#4670235)
95 DOHC and R/T-ACR's came with the 3.94 tranny with the 0.81 5th gear. (part#04670234)
96-99 DOHC came with the 3.94 tranny with the 0.72 5th gear. (part#04670664)

 

the sohc tranny is best for turbo setups, r/t-acr tranny is best for n/a setups
