i have a 99 r/t with a 2.4 swap. when i drive it easy the check engine light goes off but when i drive it hard it imediately comes back on. I also have a random misfire code also. but it doesnt feel like its misfiring. I am running out of ideas. can someone help. thanks.

 

have u checked ur c oil pack becuase it could expand wen u floor it and it could send a signal that it is broken then when u drive easy the crack coses and gets contact. i say this cuz mine did it

 

Make sure ur block has a good ground. and make sure that there is slack in the cable. also make sure there is slack in all the wires going to your sensors. remember that ****s gonna move when u step on it. also can u give us a better detailed description of what happens when u step on it? does it bog, like its rich? or does it fall flat on its face, like its not getting enough fuel? you might also check urupstream O2 sensor. make sure the wires are not pinched.

 

you can feel the car pulling at low rpms but at like 3000+ its as slow as a honda. a friend said that it smells like it is running rich but i dont really know. are you talking about the 02 sensor at the manifold? I will check the ground then let you know thanks for the info. if you guys think of anything else then let me know

 

the downstream o2 sensor is behind the cat.
