Default blowing fuses need help

alright, my wife has a 95 plymout neon with auto tranny. well she blew it up of course and we got a new motor for pretty cheap and my friend and i did the swap in the garage. well after everything is hooked up we put the battery in and instantly the 20a fuel pump fuse pops. we pulled the wire and ohmed out the relays and every thing still blows. we have disconected the engine harness from the rest of the wiring and its still poping fuses. so we disconnected the red/wht wire that leads to the fuse and it stops blowing the fuse but will not produce a spark when hooked up to the engine harness. so we then traced that wire to the the firewall where it doubles back to the pcm.the fuel pump is good also. so any ideas?

Check the upstream O2 wiring. It may be grounding out and blowing the fuel pump fuse. Also, be sure to double check all grounds.

Yes, it runs near the exhaust manifold since the sensor plugs into the manifold.
