i have lost the key to my 98 neon how can i get the key switch out without a key to turn it to run position thanks for any help

 

Sometimes you can call the dodge dealership and give them your vin. They will give you a code. Then call your local locksmith and have them make it. Run you a few bucks.

 

thats what i would do but its christmas they wont be open until wednesday

 

if you had another ignition lock then you could just hammer a screwdriver into this lock and make it turn to the ON position.....then use a screwdriver to push the button on the bottom of the lock mechanism and pull it out...then just slide the new one in

 

without the plastic to the steering collum i can turn mine by hand
